The band formed in 2005 as a result of three musicians working together on different musical projects over the previous year.
Marcus Lane (keys) and Tony Marchant (guitar) had been members of a backing band at a music school and were playing shows at the Brighton Centre, Pavilion Theatre and the Adur Festival throughout 2004. Mark Dean (drums) was called in at the last minute as a replacement drummer to play the BBC sport relief event in Brighton. Pete Hall (vocals) had made a guest appearance at the school and dueted with one of the female vocal students during a show.
Marcus, Tony and Mark also appeared as cast members of the Rock Musical 'Hedwig and the Angry Inch' during the 'Wicked Little Towns Tour' 2005/6 which culminated in a sell out show at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford.
Having worked together as hired musicians playing almost every style of
music they decided to put a band together. Pete Hall was available to sing
when approached and all they needed was a bass player. Nik Demetriades (bass)
answered a bass player advert, liked the setup and is now a member of the
band.
